As you might suspect these images are from the 2nd half of Little Miss Avery's One-Year Portrait Session/Birthday Cake Session!

She wasn't in the greatest of moods for her session. I think she didn't finish her morning nap...so could you blame her for being just a little cranky. A girl's gotta have her sleep!

But when we got the cake out...she dug in...still not all smiles, but totally enjoying her cake!

She wasn't paying attention to me (photographer) or anyone else by this time. She loved this cake. It wasn't her first time to have cake....often the first time an almost one-year old has cake for the first time it is here...during their birthday cake session. Because of schedules and illnesses, Avery's party came first. So she knew she liked cake!

Collages and storyboards are a great way to display the images from a birthday cake session. This is one of the collages that I made with some of Avery's images.

I am down to two more sessions, but still lots of other work. I wanted to get this blogged and online for Avery's mommy and Nonna to see!

MADISON WAS A MOVER AND A SHAKER

Madison was a mover and a shaker at her one year portrait session that was photographed this summer. But isn't this true of all one year olds? I have a few more traditional style portraits to post from Madison's One Year Portrait Sessions. I have photographed Madsion since she was a newborn. It is so neat to watch them grow from the little helpless infant to the mind-of-their-own toddlers!

Madison is wearing her little birthday party outfit in this collage/storyboard. Isn't she just precious?

THE NEXT IMAGE IS 10X20 VERTICAL STORYBOARD FROM SAME SET OF IMAGES.
THE IMAGES FOR THIS COLLAGE WERE CHOSEN FROM THE IMAGES OF LAKEN'S FORMAL BIRTHDAY PORTRAITS THAT WERE TAKEN THE SAME DAY. THE THIRD IMAGE WHERE SHE IS STANDING BY THE CHAIR, SHE IS PUSHING IT. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY CHILDREN ALWAYS WANT TO PUSH THE FURNITURE AROUND AT THIS AGE? THIS COULD BE ORDERED IN 11X14 AND LARGER LIKE THE FIRST ONE.
WE DID THESE IMAGES BEFORE WE GOT THE CAKE OUT. THIS IS ANOTHER 10X20 STORYBOARD.

I DON'T ALWAYS PRE-DESIGN COLLAGES FROM SESSIONS, BUT THEY CAN ALWAYS BE DONE UPON REQUEST.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS

IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I POSTED NEW IMAGES. IT'S NOT THAT I DON'T HAVE NEW IMAGES TO POST, IT'S JUST BEEN THAT HECTIC. I DO HAVE THIS READY SO I FELT I SHOULD UPDATE YOU WITH AT LEAST ONE NEW POST FOR NOW. THIS IS FROM LAKEN'S BIRTHDAY PORTRAIT SESSION. I LOVE THE EATING CAKE SESSIONS. YOU CAN NEVER PREDICT THE WAY IT WILL GO.

SOPHIE'S ONE-YEAR OLD BIRTHDAY COLLAGE

I ran across these images while looking for something else.

These were from Sophie's birthday portrait session.

Below is the collage that Sophie's daddy's mom had created for her. It is images with Sophie and her daddy. Notice the middle image on the first row. This is a tattoo of Sophies footprint on her daddy's chest. Now I admit, that I am not a tatto fan, but if I was this would be the type I would want.
