THREE MONTHS OLD: Amlih

This beautiful baby girl was such an intense baby. She just wasn't into laughing or smiling at all. From time to time, she gave us a half-smile for a half-second! But who says you have to smile to be beautiful? These images prove that you don't... One of my very favorite quotes about babies...
repeating this image...(worth repeating, huh?)

Beautiful family...her mommy and daddy can't help but smile. This baby girl just make them giddy. They love her so...

And apparently a portrait session was a bit boring to this beautiful baby girl!

MAKENNA and her mommy

I am backtracking so much today. And here I am the next day adding the text. My little sweetheart walked into the door before I finished.

The first image of Makenna is my favorite close-up from this session. I have so many faves that I can't say my fave from the whole session. Makenna was that fun age this summer when I photographed her.

Here she is with her proud mommy.
My WORDLESS WEDNESDAY image from yesterday...

Playing with mommy...

again...

Close-up fave is beautiful in color too...

So difficult to crawl in a tutu. Right, Makenna?

Makenna and her daddy's dog tags.

and why not?
ANOTHER TUTU...
Have I mentioned that I love tutus?

How do you like the new business card that I created with one of Makenna's images?
That's it for now. I have to photograph another newborn in a bit.

Backtracking: Erin and Brandon and JOHN DEERE

COUNTRY BOY AND GIRLY COUNTRY GIRL:
JOHN DEERE STORYBOARD

Ballerina Baby/Country Girl!

"I'll let you wear my tutu IF you let me play with your tractor."
named by Penny. Thanks, Penny, for playing!

The formal (more traditional) portrait...

Little Miss Erin is wearing an heirloom dress that all the baby girls have wore in her family for years. Now it was her turn. How much more special does this make these portraits!

This little boy loves his tractors!

See what I mean...he is so engrossed in his play! I love capturing images like this.

She seems to say, "Nah, tractors are not for me!"

I love this one...how she looks like she is doing her best to stay still and not lose her balance.

And could this one be any sweeter?
Okay, that's it for now. We are knee deep in having every room re-painted around here. Whew! What an ordeal! So that's it for now!
Enjoy!

AND THE WINNER IS...

Yesteryday was the "official" end of my NAME THAT PHOTO, my first photo contest. I hope do some more of these. Would any vendors who follow my blog like to participate and be the sponsor and give a way a great prize to the winner?

After I began the contest (the next day or so later), I found my own inspiration and I did come up with a title or caption as you might call it: Brother to Baby Sister, "There are two things in life you can count on: John Deere and Me." Okay, I know...I can't win the prize! So there are several others I really like:

MY DAUGHTER'S FAVORITE (She thinks it should be a short title): "Tutu Deere".--by kanna

But since it is my blog, I get to choose the Winner! It's fun being the boss of something...well, sometimes it is! AND THE WINNER IS: PENNY

I'll let you wear my tutu IF you let me play with your tractor.

And actually, I think I like this better than mine. I wanted something that tied in the brother/sister relationship along with the John Deere (tractor) and the tutu. This sounds just like a conversation to siblings would have with each other.

Penny, I am trying to decided if I will may your tutu or if will get my friend, Rachel, from Washington State, who has made many of my tutus to make one for you. I recently purchased the materials in white and lavendar. Anyhow...I will let you know and I will post a photo of the prize before I send it to you. Contact me via email for your address for me to mail it to you or just meet you in Vidalia at a convenince time for both us. Either way it will be next week or the next before I get it to you. Not much as been accomplished around here this week or last, since I have been on Mimi Duty much more than photographer duty. Congrats to Penny! And thanks to everyone who played along. It was such a fun contest for me!

NAME THAT PHOTO CONTEST!

This is the image!
Either comment or email a witty, sweet or whatever it seems to say to you. It speaks volumes, but my creative juices are running low after making the darling tutu. So it's up to you to name this photo! I got this whole idea from MY CHARMING KIDS blog. This family, by the way, needs our prayers again. Baby Stellan is sick again. Go read the most recent posts to see his status on this. This was her most recent PHOTO CONTEST.
So why should you bother with a silly little contest? For the prize, of course! THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE ONE DARLING CUSTOM MADE PINK TUTU created by yours truly. Yeah...I am thinking I am a pro at this after my first attempt. Nah! Not really, but I think you'll like my creation. So play along to win a precious pink tutu for Princess (grand, neice or gift for some precious princess in your life).
HERE'S A FEW RULES:
  • You have to comment or email me.
  • I need to at least ten people to comment. (Okay, I am realistic. I am no Mckmama)
  • You have 10 days to do this. Contest deadline is June 30th.
  • Okay, that's all the rules. So tell your friends to comment...make a suggestion, whatever so that you have an opportunity to win my really cute tutu. NO! Not that one! You get a new one. It will probably be even better than this one since I am becoming an experienced tutu designer and all!
~~jami~~
P.S. While your here, look at THIS POST and the use poll to vote for you favorite of the two images...not prizes here (just for fun)! Also if you haven't joined my group of Followers, please do so! Thanks!
UPDATE: I am loving the entries. In fact, they have inspired my creative juices and I have a title, that I will share later, if no one comes up with something that I love more. This is really fun. I know now why MckMamma likes doing these so much! Tell your friends to try. I do have a few comments on facebook that I will include with the number that I asked for to have enough to give the prize. So we still need more...so come on baby-loving followers and give me best shot!

ADRIANNA: Sneakpeak from "just babies" Spring Promo

Isn't she a doll? I was working on these images while trying to do a million other things today, but I couldn't resist wetting every one's appetite of more of this little blue-eyed beauty. She is just tutu cute!
Okay, back to more work. I just felt the need to share these.

NEWBORN BABY GIRL: Jenna

Sneak Peak of Baby Jenna: I am not quite through with this session, but I wanted some images to appear when someone logs onto this blog rather than the info about peanut butter. While I think it was appropriate to include here, I did not want it to be the first thing that shows up. It is a portrait blog and that's what one should see first when they log on! Don't you agree?
Jenna and her older sister, Hallie

Hallie was a proud big sister. She also loved her new pink gown that her mommy bought her to match Baby Jenna's sleeper. Hallie wanted to know would she wear this when Santa came. I don't know if she did, but aren't they both PRETTY IN PINK!

This was their birth annoucement/Christmas card.

Never too young or too old for a tutu...

the girl version of my new prop...

sleep in heavenly peace...

I love that I captured the sweetness along with their innocence, purity, and softness (is that a word? lol) of these girls!

This is Landry. Isn't she a doll...

Can you believe it is almost Christmas? Is it sneaking up on all of you like it has me?

TUTU CUTE TODDLER!

BAYLEE IS "tutu" cute!
Okay, I didn't get a baby to do my tutu cute portraits with my Christmas tutus, but I got a beautiful toddler. Actually, I knew I had this toddler coming while she and her parents were in town for Thanksgiving. I had more this tiny tutu for infants and I have a new larger one too. But Baylee is built like my little Natalie and I knew she could pull this off, probably better than the larger size. And as you can see....and I will say it againg--"TUTU CUTE"!

Baylee doesn't get the whole "dress-up" thing yet and she wasn't too fond of the tutu at first, but I am so glad that we got her mind of it so we could capture these.

Well, it's not even Thanksgiving, but the Christmas Portrait season has definitely been underway for a while now. I will be having a LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS PORTRAIT PROMOTION, December 6, 2008. I will try to post more about this before I leave for Thanksgiving...if I don't get around to it...and you know you are interested, please email me @ japhotography@bellsouth.net so that I can send you an email with more information.
HAPPY THANKGIVING!
(just in case I don't get to post again)
