ENGAGEMENT SESSION: FALL 2007

HEATHER AND ROBERT'S ENGAGMENT SESSION
The above image is the collage that I created for her from the images she chose. She displayed this at her wedding this past weekend (2.16.8).

Louisiana Woman

Mississippi Man

If you happen to have been a guest of this recent wedding, you totally get the Louisiana Woman and Mississippi Man titles. Heather perferomed a musical tribute to her new husband featuring the old song by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty: "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man!" What a fun wedding! It was and honor an priviledge to share this special day with this sweet couple and their families. As most of you know "I don't do weddings". But certain people come into your life and they become family...so yes, sometimes I do "family" weddings (I gift most of it to them because at this time you can't really pay me enough to make it worth it.)

I am always more than thrilled to do engagement sessions and bridal portraits. Below are some sweet images and some fun images from their engagement session. This session was captured back in the fall duirng my most crazy time of the year. I shot them, but didn't get to them until later trying to get all the holiday stuff done. I just love the way they relaxed and such a fun engagement session~~~that's just the way it should be.

You can just see the love...

I love this. It just makes me smile and think of the one I love!

And last but not least, their baby...

Sorry, Heather I forgot his name again. I guess I should have included his name on the model release too. LOL
That's it for this post. I will add some of the bridal session next and then maybe a few from the wedding which has not been edited yetl In fact, I am still burning CDs for the back up files.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

"L" is for Love.
"I love you this much." And our love collage...
I used the above storybooard collage to create a Valentine's Card from Natalie for us to send out. Most of them are still sitting in the box, but I am trying...

IThis made my 3rd Valentine message to do since she has been born. Well that one for each Valentine's since her birth including the one tomorrow. I really didn't have any real plans of doing one this year. We had just got back from our cruise and I am still recovering from that and Christmas too. But her mommy wanted to do some sort of photo surprize of both of them for Natalie's daddy. So while we were at it. I got these out of the mini session too.

BABY CARLEY AT SIXTEEN DAYS OLD

This is baby Carley. She is about 16 days old in these images. Her portrait session was just before Christmas. Her mommy just completed her reprint order and I realized that I had not posted any of her images yet. These are some of my favorites.

She is unusually fat for such a young baby. I love this pose. What a great eye contact for such a young baby!
Isn't she adorable?
Carley and Her Daddy This is one of the collages that I designed for Carley's slideshow presentation. She had some of the longest hair that I have seeen for a newborn. Her mommy did purchase this one as well as another one.
Carley and Her Mommy
What a beautiful family!
I love watching these new parents. The are so "in love" with their new bundle of love. That has to be the best part of photographing newborns. Everytime it refreshes my memory of that "in love" state that I had each time I gave birth and at the birth of my granddaughter. The first time you really feel this amazing new love is the first time you hold that first child...we soon realize that there is a LOVE we really did not know existed until then. We think we love them before they born and then they are born and we finally hold this helpless new human life and our hearts just melt. This is the child that you patiently waited 9 mos, prepared in every way you thought possible, but nothing truly prepares you for this... And let's not forget her Angel Portrait. Gotta loves those cute little pucker lips.
Carley and her family were so such sweet people. Her mommy was so concerned about the "accidents" on the floor. I reassured her that Carley wasn't the first baby to pee and poo on my floor and backgrounds. And of course, she won't be the last. LOL That's just part of photographing naked babies!

Never a dull moment here~~Jami

INTRODUCING MADDOX

This is Maddox and his daddy.
This is Maddox wearing his hand knit hat that his mommy received as a special gift for him.
Maddox and His Family
Maddox being admired by his big sister, Ava.
Maddox and His Mommy

This a collage called FAMILY. It gives the definition of family below it: "a group of people that love and care for one another.

Maddox receiving a little love from his big sister, Ava.
I met Ava about 2 years ago when she was about the same age as Maddox. Maddox is a little older than the ideal age for a newborn session, but there's no such thing as bad age for a portrait session especially one that depicts the love and relationship of family as these do. Because of the holidays and babies getting sick, we ended up doing Maddox newborn baby session about the same age as his sister's session almost two years ago.

The is how Ava looks now.

This is how Ava looked when I met her about 2 years ago. What a little doll!
This is Ava about the same age as Maddox's image
This is Maddox is an almost identical outfit. His had blue trim and hers pink. They look so much alike...though I think he will have blue eyes like his dad. Ava has beautiufl brown eye like her mommy.
These next two really show how much they look alike. This is Maddox.
This is Ava. Can you belive this?
I finally finished editing this session. His family will be seeing it soon. As you can see they had so many beautiful images that editing took a little while. That's it for a few days. The next few sessions that I have to edit I won't be posting because I already posted some of them when I did the birth annoucment images. My next one will be an almost four month old. Until then. ---jami
