ANGELS AMONG US...

Yes, there truly are angels among us...just look into your child's face and there you will see the portrait of an angel.
I am backtracking and posting some images that I have had a chance to blog yet. I have a another part of this session to post, but I thought these angel images deserved their own post.

IT ONLY TAKES ONE

...and sometimes, one is all you get!
julia and douglas
Okay, I think we got more than one, but I captured only one really good one of both babies, only one wall portrait worthy and here IT IS!

We were beginning to wonder if this portrait session was going to happen. We've been planning for months to do cotton field portraits of these two, but before the cotton was ready, the rain came down and down, day after day. Just when it was looking good, it started raining again. I had planned to do this tomorrow evening, but then Monday night I watched the news and weather. Guess what I learned? Yes, more rain for Thursday...at least it's not predicted to rain several weeks, just one day. I am so glad that this session finally happened. It was your typical session: one child looking when the other is not and vice versa and then when you least expect it, you get a moment like this!

TOO-CUTE TUESDAY

THIS IS SOPHIE MARIA.
Isn't she too cute? I thought this would wet you appetite for more. I will post the rest of the images from her session that I have ready for blogging very soon, but for now back to more editing.

THEN AND NOW THURSDAY #4

SOPHIE...
Then
And now...

No, it's not Easter time, but it was then...

Now more recently...

Actually this little miss had her hair cut after this 3 year old portrait session that I did this summer. As I was working on her order, I realized that I never blogged hers and her sister's images. Since today is Thursday...yeah, you got it: THEN AND NOW THURSDAY this post came first!

I will post more from this session soon.

SISTERS: MaCee and Marlee

This little sister did NOT want to "do pictures" this day. We tried everything in the world. At this point we are walking around (changing scenes, redirecting, getting her mind off the subject--whatever you want to call it), but at this point we are looking for birds. That's what she is pointing at.
And I resort to following Marlee for a bit...

And yeah, she still has a little 3-year-old attitude at this point.

Often it certainly takes a little (okay..a lot) of patience when photographing children.
But eventually she changes her mood and we get images like this...

and this...

Now I think MaCee enjoyed being photographed. Thank Goodness!

Isn't she beautiful!

I've watched this little girl grow up a lot over the years. (If I still have files that are easily accessible, I will have to post one of her before she had a baby sister on a "Then and Now" post.)
As you can see, she made a great model.

NOT REALLY A LITTLE GIRL ANY LONGER, HUH?

See what I mean...

Of course, these girls' mom wanted a beautiful portrait of them together. I must admit that I had my doubts as to if were going to meet that goal.
So glad we did.

THEN AND NOW THURSDAY #3

THIS WAS THEN...
[Wasn't she a beautiful newborn?]
THIS IS NOW...

[And now she is a beautiful little girl!]

Then...

Now...

I met Miss Aubrey about 3.5 years ago when her mommy brought her to me to do her newborn portraits. A few weeks ago, I photographed her new baby sister. [I will post those soon. Today is THEN AND NOW THURSDAY.]

NEWBORN: BRYSON and his sister, Madison

BRYSON
AND HIS BIG SISTER, MADISON

Byrson looks so much like his sister when she was did her first portraits.
CLICK HERE TO SEE THE PREVIOUS POST if you missed that one.

baby yawns and...

tiny ones and cute little hats go so well together...

So hard to capture portraits with the new one and the older sib when the sibling is getting tired of it all.
How sweet is this of Little Miss Madison and her baby brother.
Madison was just precious. She has been here different times doing portraits and I love that she walked in her like walking into her grandmother's house. I could be her Mimi too...in a heartbeat!

"The handiwork of God, a new hand in ours..."

For some reason, I love this one!

It just doesn't get much better than this...

FIRST FAMILY PORTRAIT AS A FAMILY OF FOUR

The newest "little Tiger" in this family...

This little girl has stolen her dads heart. It was so obvious how much these two love each! I could tear up right now just thinking about what a priviledge it was to witness this.

You've seen the above image in a post from yesterday and this one next one in a SNEAKPEAK post, but it is definitely worth sharing again.

Last but not least (as my teacher in junior used to say), one of my Signature Images:
"Every good and perfect gift is from above."
James 1:17

Now that's it for today.
Enjoy.

RYDER and his sister

Newborn Babies: Who doesn't love 'em. Love that little newborn curled up state, love newborn baby wrinkles and dimples too.
RYDER

(I love that name...especially if he turns out to be a little cowboy!) I've posted half of these images already, but I am still backtracking and trying to get caught up. In event sequence, this session would be next. So this is the sneakpeak and few more faves that I wanted to share.

Ryder, and his big sister, Addison that I photographed two years earlier. I will post some comparison images of the two sibs later this week. But since I am trying to backtrack until I get caught up.
Again...
Since Addison just turned two, we went outside to capture her TWO-YEAR PORTRAITS too. I love how beautiful her eyes are in this image and her curious express.

All babies a gifts from God!
Maybe he will be a little cowboy...

Close-up in his mom's arms...
Addison again...So this was the SNEAKPEAK of Ryders session along with Part 2 of some of my faves from the session.

Knock on wood, if nothing bad happens, I am getting caught up on editing, not everything, but editing is the most time consuming part of my business. What will I do then? I have several posts that I would like to include here like suggestion for portraits, F.A.Q (frequently asked questions) and much more! So stayed tuned for more images and more info.
