LAKEN LOVED RIDING MY HORSE....

GOTTA LOVE THOSE BEAUTIFUL EYELASHES... A FEW MORE OF LAKEN. I LOVE, LOVE THE FIRST AND LAST IMAGES. THEY ACTUALLY THE SAME IMAGE, BUT WITH TWO DIFFERENT CROPS. I THINK THE ABOVE IMAGE IS MY FAVORITE...WHICH IS YOURS?

Okay, I guess I should have had this one come up first so you can see she is on a horse. I love the way her little painted toes just wrap around the the horse as if they were fingers and they are helping her hang onto the horse.

Doesn't she have just the bluest eyes?

That's it until tomorrow or another day. That's all I have ready for blog upload for either blog. I am going to actually shut my computer down for a little while. I am sure it needs a little break. LOL ~~jami~~

LAKEN'S FORMALS FROM HER ONE-YEAR PORTRAIT SESSION

THIS IS LAKEN THE DAY BEFORE HER ONE-YEAR BIRTHDAY. THIS IMAGE AND THE NEXT THREE WERE A FEW OF MY FAVORITES FROM THE SESSION. I AM STILL PICKING IMAGES FROM THE OTHER POSES. This is my favorite close-up of her in her dress. I love that curious expression.
All four of these are my favorites from this group of images, but I think this is what I would do for her formal wall portrait. Often you like to get one of them standing, but often once they learn to walk they won't be still either, unless they are sitting on something. Laken actually preferred to push this chair around until she discovered she could sit on it as well.
Doesn't she has the prettiest eyes?
Keep looking I have images of her on the little horse. Her mommy says her daddy is going to love those. I think I have finished editing those, but I still have the "princess" images and the "birthday princess" to finish. I will post some of them soon. As I am I editing her princess birthday images, I am also editing a "little prince's birthday" images. He got a rush on his since his mommy is getting his done for the birthday invitation. I still have the rest of his, but I may post some his next since I had to edit some for the invitation. ~~jami~~

FUNNY FACE, FUNNY FACE, FUNNY FACE...ADORABLE FACE

FUNNY FACE... FUNNY FACE...
FUNNY FACE...
ADORABLE FACE
SEE WHAT I MEAN? ISN'T HE ADORABLE!
This is Baby Clayton. He is 7 months old.
I love the way he grabs his foot. He was doing this in almost every image.
Maybe this is a suprize expression or maybe he is just wondering what we were all doing over there while trying to make him smile. Isn't it funny what adults will do to get a smile out of a baby. I LOVE IT!

His tinted image. I love little boys in caps. I used to keep one on my little baby boy when he was a baby. I was often teased that he wasn't going to grow any hair because of that. Maybe it did delay his initial hair grow, but rest assured...when he got it, he got it!

That it is for now. What to you think, Clayton's Mommy?

SPRING IS HERE!

THIS IS BRITTANY, "MY OTHER DAUGHTER". I did most of her senior portraits yesterday. What a beautiful day it was!
While I am still so behind bescause I have done so many new sessions and I have many more over the next few days, I had to open a few of these. My husband and I have always loved Wisteria blooming. It is sort of like the Azelas...it has such a short time of blooming that you don't really get to enjoy them long enough. So now we will get to enjoy them a little longer with a beautiful portrait of our B (as Randy often calls her). We love you, Brittany and we think you are beautiful inside and out.
Brittany was easy and fun to shoot. She has been a part of my family for a while now thus she has been around my photography for a while and had quite the photography eye herself. She has even assited me with some weddings and such. She's like my daughter easy to pose and only required miminum tweaking from me. So we had a fun session.
I am burning CDs (yes that's plural) to give them to her so that she can help with some of the editing so we can get her wallets ordered for her invitations. We will do the rest later. We still have to finish editing engagement images and do the bridal portraits. (oh my! it is all gettting really close now!)
I am getting off. I still have my hair in towel and I need to leave here in about 20 minutes or so for my day of three sessions. ~~jami~~

BOYS WILL BE BOYS

This baby boy is all boy and boy is he giving his brother a tough time! OUCH!!!!And now for the other brother and sister!
Not a perfect sibling portrait, but still very cute!
This is Riley and he just turned one! Isn't he a cutie!
"I can walk when I want to! But who needs to when you have three older siblings to walk carry you around, uh?"
Riley with my new prop. I got this little duck at the gift shop at the Peabody Hotel while we were staying in Memphis a few weeks ago. The image that I had in my mind was a little one new to walking pulling it by the string...maybe it will happened. But so far it hasn't...Riley doesn't walk much and the other toddler (Jonah) who was photographed with it just picked it up by the string....so much my vision! But isn't that the way it always goes...never as you planned it !
What beautiful expressions on all 4 children and I thought this was going to be a challenging session. It was a little stressful (with 3 rowdy little boys in the same room for more than a few minutes...Man, any mom with two or more boys must have nerves of steel as a requirement for mom), but this is actually one of the first images captured. I am posting a little backwards. So after the first few images were captured, I knew I had something that mom wanted of all four children. As a photographer, it is always a challenge when you get more than one in a photo...when you are simultaneously trying to capture similar express...so how much more would it be with four. Thanks, Kently, Drake, Cooper and Riley, for those your cooperation and those great expressions.
I LOVE, LOVE THIS INQUISITIVE EXPRESSION ON THE BABY'S FACE IN THIS IMAGE. I THINK IT WAS MY FAVORITE.
THAT'S IT FOR NOW. I AM STILL SEVERAL SESSIONS BEHIND. I AM HAVING A HARD TIME CATCHING UP BECAUSE I HAVE BOOKED SOME MANY SESSIONS THE LAST FEW WEEKS. THIS WEEK SEEMS TO BE SENIOR WEEK. AS I TYPE THIS I AM IN THE PROCESS OF DOWNLOADING BRITTANY'S SENIOR PORTRAIT. IT IS BEAUTIFUL IN NATCHEZ THIS WEEK. I HOPE TO SCAN THROUGH HERS AND AT LEAST POST A FEW. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM.

IT'S THE LAST HOUR FOR SENIOR PORTRAITS

As you can tell this session was done in the fall. Since seniors will soon be walking down the aisle to get their diploma, it is time to get them ordered. I don't really do that many senior sessions. I am already overbooked doing babies especially newborns and of course, spending lots of time with Natalie. I recently made this order of senior portraits so I thought I would post a few.

This last image was my favorite.

IT FINALLY CAME IN...

MY HIGH END PORTRAIT PURSE FINALLY CAME IN. I HAVE WANTED ONE OF THESE PURSES FOR SO LONG. I FINALLY DID IT AND MADE MY ORDER. I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID. I ABOSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. This is the other side. I wanted a baby image and a recent cotton field image. I think both images worked great for the purse. The pink in the flowers matched the pink leather perfectly.
With these images I am trying to show the craftmanship of the bag. It is lined with black velvet with a large zipper compartment and cell phone pocket.
a full length view of the purse

These bags are made of the highest quality leathers. This one is Italian leather. They come with many choices in colors, styles, sizes, etc. They even a have diaper bag and a beach bag style. This particular bag retails for $265.00 (and my price wasn't much less), but I am loving this bag so much I am ready for another one...one a little larger. I just don't know which images to use this time! In fact, I think they have a Mother's Day deadline for this week March 26th.
If you would like more information about these purses, please call or email me and I will link you to the website to view more styles and pricing. Bags can be made with images from previous sessions or we can schedule a session with intentions of creating images for a bag as well as traditional portrait.

A DAY ALL ABOUT PROM

A DAY ALL ABOUT PROM...
THAT'S WHAT OUR DAY WAS FRIDAY MARCH 21, 2008
From me getting packed to do both Pre-Prom photos and photos at the prom to getting Cari to hair appointments and helping with make-up, clothes etc. Fortunately Cari has a great dad and I have a great husband to come through for us and be there when we really need him.
This is my favorite of Cari and her date done at Monmouth Plantation at the edge of the bridge.
the full length view of it
I couldn't resist capturing this. This is his mom photographing them.
Cari and her best friend, Alexa
Cari and friends...don't you love the rainbow they created with this dress colors?
Cari and more friends on the bridge
This was the couples car and just before getting into the limo. I had two groups of cars to photograph before prom. These are mostly freshmen (my daughter's friends).
I had to include one capturing real life and real emotion. I don't remember what was said, but I love this capture. Friday was quite an overwhelming day for my whole family. In one way or another, my whole family ened up very involved in prom and/or promo activities.. Natalie was with her Poppa asleep in the car with her hair ready and the right shoes on waiting to add her red dress to be photographed with her mommy and daddy when they came. For some reason the plans changed completely and they didn't make it to Monmouth. So I kept Natalie around the prom activities until her parents showed up at the prom so that I could at least get a few shots of them in their prom attire. If you would like to see a few of those go to Natalie's blog http://www.lalalanataliesworld.blogspot.com/ to see them and a few more prom images...some aren't professional images, but they again they are "our" memories and I am so glad that we have them.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT THE LAKE

CAMERON, BRITTANY AND NATALIE'S ENGAGEMENT SESSION Okay, I skipped a few sessions in my posting order (I promise I will come back to them). I have a birthday session that am looking forward to posting. But I did these this evening. The above images is my favorite traditional image of the two of them...it may be the one that goes in the news paper (or at least the invitation). I am sure it needs some more work on it, but these are a few images that jumped out at me and I just wanted to post a few to have something new on the blog. I have new blog counter and I am seeing lots of hits on a daily basis...so to those inquirying minds who want to know what's going on...this is what I did today (March 16, 2008). I will use these images along with the ones that I did on the LSU campus back in November for an engagement session album and to create their wedding invitation. This was a much better session than the last one...I did get more good ones this time with Natalie (not as many as I had wanted), the lighting was so much better and it didn't rain on us this time. (LOL)
The above image was my favorite traditional engagement image (at first glance).
And at first glace...this next one is my favorite "relationship" image. I love capturing "real emotion and real expressions".
This next one is my favorite traditional image of all three.

I love the holding hands poses with children. So you gotta know I love really love this one since my little sweetheart is the one holding hands with her mommy and daddy.

That's it for now. I did pick out a few other images for Natalie's blog. If you would like to see them: http://www.lalalanataliesworld.blogspot.com/
