HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
If you are looking for images to view, orders, etc., please hang on. I have a few newborn sessions when I come back, a Last Minute Christmas Session date (12.06.08) and lots of catching up to do. I won't be scheduling any new sessions other than those. I will concentrate on getting all done and caught just in time for gift giving.
SENDING THANKFUL WISHES YOUR WAY.

Let me know if you agree. I showed my son who had just looked at the images he, too, was amazed at the resemblance of this.
So let me here your comments on this one!

TUTU CUTE TODDLER!
Okay, I didn't get a baby to do my tutu cute portraits with my Christmas tutus, but I got a beautiful toddler. Actually, I knew I had this toddler coming while she and her parents were in town for Thanksgiving. I had more this tiny tutu for infants and I have a new larger one too. But Baylee is built like my little Natalie and I knew she could pull this off, probably better than the larger size. And as you can see....and I will say it againg--"TUTU CUTE"!
Baylee doesn't get the whole "dress-up" thing yet and she wasn't too fond of the tutu at first, but I am so glad that we got her mind of it so we could capture these.

Well, it's not even Thanksgiving, but the Christmas Portrait season has definitely been underway for a while now. I will be having a LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS PORTRAIT PROMOTION, December 6, 2008. I will try to post more about this before I leave for Thanksgiving...if I don't get around to it...and you know you are interested, please email me @ japhotography@bellsouth.net so that I can send you an email with more information.Sunday, November 23, 2008

MY YOUNGEST CHRISTMAS BABY (10 days old)
or this...
the proud big brother...

She even opened her eyes for a few minutes to see what was going on (or where she was, but she didn't really seem to care)!

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT/CHRISTMAS GREETING...
I suggested a different greeting when we first viewed these immediatley after the session, but it only had room for four images and once I looked at the images closer, I realized I really loved six of them and couldn't seem to narrow it down to the four. Since this mom give me lots of creative control, I converted a storyboard that I use from time to time to a 4x8 Christmas Card. Isn't this the sweetest!Wednesday, November 19, 2008
FAMILY PORTRAITS
I met Doug and Katie when I photographed Baby Julia newborn portrait session. Soon I will be photographing Julia's new baby brother. Doug's mom wanted something special with all her boys and the rest of her family [her husband, their spouses and of course, the babies]. What mom would treasure this?
And don't forget the first grandbaby, Little Miss Julia.

Cute couple
[the newest family in this group of extended families]
The babies...
These are some of my favorites from this extended family portrait session. This session was next in line. Tuesday, November 18, 2008

GOING COMPUTER NUTS!
Okay, I have to get off and re-start my computer and see if I can get at least one session finished before the computer is admitted to the 'computer clinic'!~~jami~~
COMPLIMENTARY (FREE) PORTRAITS
Because of unforeseen events (such as computer trouble and more), time has really slipped upon and the only sources of promoting this year’s Christmas promotion is emails, the ad that should run in the Sentential (that is if I didn’t get it email too late) and this blog are my only sources of promotion.
- RECEIVE FIVE (5) ADDITIONAL CHRISTMAS CARDS OR
- TWO (2) 5X7 PORTRAITS ADDED TO YOUR PACKAGE. [Must be new clients…someone that I have not photographed before.]
SO THAT'S HOW TO GET FREE PORTRAITS AT JAMI AINSWORTH PORTRAITS

ADRIANNA...one more
I knew I thought I had more more ready to post that I used in creating Adrianna's birth annoucements. I found it as soon as I finished with the post...of course.
I actually created 7 different annoucements from a few of a my favorites from this session. I posted two in the previous post and now this one. I would love to hear from my regular blog readers. Comment and tell me which is your favorite.ADRIANNA...finally a newborn girl
I love the way newborns curl up and fit into little things like hat boxes and how much more precious wearing cute flower headband (another new prop). I love cool props and cute baby things...one of the many things l love about photographing babies.
Her mommy just loved this headband (hers). So I knew she would love to see it too!

I worked on Baby Adrianna's birth annoucements today since I can't do a lot of window changing right now with my computer problems. I couldn't resist using one of my new designs for Christmas for a birth annoucement too as you will see in the next too images.

I couldn't resist putting this image with annoucement. Looks like they were made for each other (the image and the design).
I usually post more and if time permits, I may add more later from this session, but it's that time of the year that's going to get crazy and I wanted to post these now since I already had them ready from doing the birth annoucments.~~jami~~
TWO CHRISTMAS CARDS
[This one would be good to use from a regular portrait session as well as Christmas. As you can see it was great to use with this image from their engagement session.]
Okay, I know I over-did-it again...too many choices. I just get so carried away trying to give variety and multiple choices of vertical, horizontal and multi-image greetings. When I was working on these the first time, I accidently deleted these and I still do not know how to go back and add an image anywhere other than the top. IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS WITH BLOGGER, PLEASE LET ME KNOW...IT SURE COULD COME IN HANDY!

2008 CHRISTMAS CARDS
Card_03
(a new modern style...great for black and white images or anything...this is a squre 5x5 and I did find out recently that 5x5 costs a little more than 5x7 to mail...check with your local post office...I know it doesn't make since)Card_04
(a different color scheme for Christmas, but so perfect for a baby girl)Card_05
(again a different color for holiday, but perfect with snow in mind or new baby boy)Card_06a
(for some reason I love this one and the next one...so simple, but elegant)Card_06b
(the LSU version)Card_07
(a little different style with two images--a long vertical image and square)Card_08
(a very simple image...you can choose another color and create your own message...includes two square images--great for two children)Card_09
(this one would be great like this with two children or a different images of three children...sometimes their best images is their separate images...often it is next to impossible to get two or more with their best expressions at the same time)Card_10a
Card_10b
(as you can see these are basicly the same card with different colors...I can match this to the subjects clothing...that's what I did in these two samples...because of the narrow horizontal crop this may not work on all images, but it has a unique appeal)Card_11
(two images...will only work with two narrow vertical images)Card_12
(different in style and color...different is often fun...again 3 square images)Card_13
[Okay, I am not superstitious, but I thought it sort of ironical to have the crying baby in the card that is numbered #13. This is for the less than perfect baby session. Over the years, I could probably use several baby sessions to fit this one. Also another squre image...I don't think is that much more than a regular stamp, but I found this out after mailing 5x5 wedding invitations.]Card_14h (horizontal)
[The above two and the next one would also be great to use from other portrait sessions previously done and on file.]
Card_15
Card_18b (LSU version)
Card_19a (horizontal)
[These two are one of my favs from last year. I almost didn't include them, but since I am using the all white background this year I think these will be perfect for someone...especially someone wearing pink (by the way...Natalie's holiday dress is pink this year) or other pastel tones.]
Card_20a
[The signing message on the green one doesn't seem to show up well here. You can click on any of these to view them larger. I used the medium size for this post since I had so many. Small seemed to small. I initial is suppose to be the family's last name if you can read this you will see the last name is Cotton. I did the LSU card first and I forgot to chance. Someone (my daughter) quickly pointed it out to me when I was showing them to her, but FYI this will be your monogram of your last name...or whatever!]Card_20b (LSU version)
[I felt like I needed more vertical images since I tend to shoot more vertical in my studio and for sessions like this because I don't have lots of shooting width. So I converted one of my birth annoucements to this. Already a mommy as told me she is loving this one. So I guess that was good move on my part, huh?]
